CHICAGO — About 63 percent of Chicago voters turned out for Tuesday’s general election, according to early results. In Chicago, 948,622 ballots had been counted as of late Tuesday. That figure does not include all vote-by-mail ballots that were returned in the final days before the election, though, so turnout figures are expected to rise. Still, Chicago’s turnout appeared to fall below those of recent presidential elections.
