The Boston Red Sox on Saturday activated Liam Hendriks from the 15-day injured list, marking the right-hander's return to the majors for the first time in nearly two years. Hendriks, 36, sustained an elbow injury while pitching for the Chicago White Sox on June 9, 2023, that ultimately would require Tommy John surgery. He was making his fifth appearance of that season after undergoing treatment for Stage 4 non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
