A crash involving a motorcycle shut down outbound lanes on the Stevenson Expressway early Friday morning. The crash took place around 2 a.m. near Damen Avenue and left a motorcyclist with severe injuries. All OB Stevenson lanes are blocked at Damen for a crash investigation. A motorcycle crash near Damen around 2am resulted in severe injuries for the rider. First available reentry is at California. Use Archer or Ogden to avoid the backups.

At least eight vehicles were involved in a crash on I-294 near 47th Street on Friday morning. Just before 5:45 a.m., Illinois State Police responded to the crash involving eight vehicles blocking two lanes. ISP said troopers found two separate crashes, one involving six cars and the second involving two cars. As many as 8 vehicles have crashed in the 2LL NB on I-294 before Ogden Avenue.

Two people were apprehended in Chicago's McKinley Park neighborhood after a car implicated in crimes crashed late Wednesday afternoon. Just after 5 p.m., police were seen running down alleyways and residential streets near 32nd and Leavitt streets. At that point, one suspect had been apprehended and police were searching for another. The second suspect, described as wearing a purple hoodie, was also apprehended shortly afterward. Meanwhile, a heavily-damaged Nissan was seen sitting in the street.

A man and woman were shot in what was believed to be a domestic incident in northwest suburban Mount Prospect, Illinois Monday afternoon. The incident happened in a closed shared garage of a condominium building in the 1200 block of West Northwest Highway. Mount Prospect police said a 63-year-old woman and a 53-year-old man suffered gunshot wounds. Police described the woman as the victim and the man as the offender. Both were taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.

A fire broke out in a large floor-plan house in Naperville, Illinois Tuesday afternoon. The brutal temperatures posed a challenge for firefighters as they battled the blaze at 3519 Redwing Ct. in Naperville, just west of Route 59 and north of 103rd Stret. The fire appeared to be confined to the upper stories of the house. By just after 4 p.m., the smoke billowing from the house had been converted to steam.
