ARCADIA, La. - The Bienville Parish School Board is considering removing its superintendent following the conclusion of a months-long investigation. During a board meeting Thursday evening, members went into executive session to review the findings before quickly adopting seven charges against Superintendent Byron Lyons. The adopted charges were not disclosed to the public during or after the meeting.

SHREVEPORT, La. - A Native American tribe with roots in Northwest Louisiana is turning to local government leaders for help in its pursuit of federal recognition. The Adai Caddo Indian Nation is currently recognized by Louisiana, but not by the federal government. State recognition means a tribe can receive local benefits, but federal recognition creates a direct relationship with the U.S. government and opens the door to federal funding, healthcare and legal protections.

SHREVEPORT, La. - Negotiations between the city of Shreveport and Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson's G-Unit Studios advanced in April when the city leased the former Stageworks building to the production company. Jackson visited the city last week to give city leaders a tour of his properties and lay out economic development plans, according to studio representative Orville Hall.
