It's ahead of Mayor Tom Arceneaux's Block-by-Block program which focuses on revitalizing high-need, blighted neighborhoods one section at a time. Officers gave neighbors pamphlets with information for city services and a blight survey.

During a board meeting Thursday evening, members went into executive session to review the findings before quickly adopting seven charges against Superintendent Byron Lyons.
