This edition focuses on the Woolpack, which is on the corner of Tuddenham Road and Westerfield Road near Christchurch Park. Full disclosure: I used to live right by the Woolpack, which dates back to the 16th century, so my visit for this piece was not my first.

This week we are at Three Wise Monkeys in Lloyds Avenue - which is certainly a lively place, in the best way. I headed down for some lunch one Friday afternoon to find there were a few people getting their pints in nice and early for the weekend, which is behaviour I absolutely approve of.

    Ed Sheeran opened the Old Phone pub in Ipswich, just not the Suffolk one (Image: Charlotte Bond) Ed Sheeran has opened a new pub in Ipswich - but the venue is more than 3,000 miles away from Suffolk. That's because the Framlingham-raised star's boozer - named the Old Phone - is in a town of the same name in Massachusetts, just north of Boston. To make matters more confusing, the American town of Ipswich, home to more than 10,000 people, is in Essex County.

    Dominik Burcin has been sentenced (Image: Newsquest) A west Suffolk man who provided images of a sexual nature to a 14-year-old girl has been handed a community order. Domink Burcin, of Marigold Drive in Red Lodge, near Mildenhall, appeared before Suffolk Magistrates' Court last month. He was charged with attempting to cause or incite a girl of the age of 14 to engage in sexual activity.
