Elias Alves Olivera, who is of Kingsland in Shotley, appeared before Suffolk Magistrates' Court in Ipswich on March 18. He was charged with driving without third party insurance, driving a vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence and having a child passenger who was not wearing a seatbelt.

Before Suffolk Magistrates' Court on Friday was Thomas Jeffery, of Horseman Court in Martlesham Heath. He was charged with 16 counts of criminal damage after windows in addresses such as Princes Street, Tavern Street, Queen Street, Friars Street, Coytes Gardens, Falcon Street and Great Colman Street.

Billy Patrick Smith, who is of Fuschia Lane in Ipswich, appeared before Suffolk Magistrates' Court last month. He was facing a single charge of failing to comply with the requirements of post-custodial supervision, in relation to a period between February 1 and March 1 this year.

    The land in Baylham in mid Suffolk (Image: Google Maps) Plans have been lodged for land in a village north of Ipswich to be converted for equestrian use. Luisa Edwards and Andrew King have lodged plans with Mid Suffolk District Council for the land off Upper Street in Baylham. According to planning documents, the applicants bought the land last December and have been keeping ponies there. There are also plans to build a home at the site.
