ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – There’s a new initiative in Monroe County aimed at bringing affordable health care to communities in need. A new mobile medical outreach vehicle has been acquired by St. Joseph’s Neighborhood Center, off Rochester’s South Avenue, using nearly $3 million in American Rescue Plan Act funds. Monroe County Executive Adam Bello and Congressman Joe Morelle were joined by local leaders for a ribbon cutting Tuesday.

Lifespan of Greater Rochester president and CEO Ann Marie Cook announced Friday the nonprofit has achieved nearly $7 million, across upstate New York, in court-ordered restitution for victims of financial exploitation, which is recognized as the most common form of elder abuse.
