The funding efforts come after a Rochester woman, who has identified herself as Shiloh Hendrix, was recorded in a Rochester park reportedly calling a child with autism a racial slur. The video has been shared around social media, garnering millions of views.

(KTTC) – This week is National Nurse Appreciation Week, a time to recognize the important caregivers. “It’s the little things that nurses do that carry us through our healthcare experience,” DAISY Foundation Co-Founder Bonnie Barnes said. Bonnie co-founded the foundation with her husband, Mark Barnes, after her stepson passed away. Their son had a lengthy battle with an auto-immune disease. The two started the DAISY Foundation, which stands for Diseases Attacking the Immune System.

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – The Minnesota Court of Appeals will hear oral arguments in certain predetermined cases in Rochester on Thursday. Oral arguments will begin at 9:30 a.m. in Courtroom 5C of the Olmsted County Government Center. To ensure access to justice, the court of appeals regularly hears oral arguments across Minnesota. FREEBORN COUNTY, Minn. (KTTC) – A Minnesota State University, Mankato student has been released from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and is out on bond according to the Minnesota American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). Mohammed Hoque of Bangladesh had been in custody at the Freeborn County Detention Center since late March. With ICE detentions at the forefront, it has groups like Mankato Faith Leaders concerned about what may be happening inside the detention center.

WINONA, Minn. (KTTC) – The Minnesota State Patrol is working to reconstruct a crash after a Winona man was killed while riding an e-bike Monday evening in Winona. Winona Police Department reports the crash happened shortly before 8:00 p.m. Monday at the intersection of 6th Street and Liberty Street. WPD said the victim, an adult 66-year-old man, was found on 6th Street. Authorities said the adult male driver, 53, was attempting to make a left turn onto Liberty Street when he hit the biker.
