Afternoon highs climb back through the 80s with a heat index into the lower 90s. SUNDAYThe mugginess climbs on Sunday, making it feel like Summer again.

    MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - One more round of storm chances before quieter weather arrives this week. MONDAY STORMSMonday features another round of heat and humidity, with a heat index approaching 100 through the afternoon. This will lead to another round of afternoon and evening storms, winding down around sunset. Any additional rainfall could lead to short-term flooding on the roadways with very saturated grounds area-wide.

SATURDAYSaturday morning starts mainly dry, with temperatures only dropping into the middle-70s. As we move into the afternoon, expecting a round of showers and storms to develop. While not as widespread as we saw during Debby, some spots sometimes see heavy rain. Due to how saturated we are, any additional rainfall could quickly lead to ponding on the roadways.

(WMBF) - Debby continues to lift north through North Carolina but could swing occasional downpours our way through FridayOVERNIGHTWhile Debby continues to pull away from the area, its large area of circulation and abundant tropical moisture will maintain the risk of downpours. Expect the heaviest of the rain to focus near the Grand Strand overnight, where 1″ to 2″ of additional rainfall is possible. Most of this activity will clear by sunrise on Friday.
