CANTON, Ohio (WKBN) — Canfield’s baseball season ended in the Division IV Regional Championship with a 10-0 loss to Lake Catholic on Thursday at Thurman Munson Memorial Stadium in Canton. The Cougars took an early 1-0 lead on a sacrifice fly from junior Pete Malchesky in the 3rd inning. Lake Catholic extended their advantage to 5-0 in the 4th when senior Patrick Radigan knocked in two more runs. The Cougars, despite another rain delay, scored five times in the 6th to clinch the victory.

OBERLIN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Warren JFK baseball team saw their season come to an end in the Regional Semifinals for the third consecutive year, with a 4-3 loss to Tiffin Calvert on Thursday. The Eagles started the scoring in the first inning at Oberlin College. Seniors Michael Bartoe and Taggart Carfangia both knocked in runs to help give Kennedy an early 3-0 advantage. The Senecas responded in the sixth with three runs of their own.
