Both the ICC Board of Trustees and the Coffeyville Community College Trustees have been discussing the posibility of merging for more than a year. Monday night's meeting was open for the public to comment. Both schools are in Montgomery County and less than 25 minutes apart.

Neosho, Mo. (KOAM) The city of Neosho, Missouri wants to build a new aquatic center, but first it needs a green light from voters. On Tuesday, the Neosho City Council voted to add a question to the April 8th ballot, asking Neosho voters to approve a Use Tax to help fund a new aquatic center. The current city pool has been plagued with issues. Before the 2023 season, the city repainted and resealed the pool and replaced the pump and motor system.

That includes departments like food service, maintenance, transportation, safety, and information technology.

Joplin, Mo. (KOAM) In celebration of Native American Heritage Month, The Joplin Public Library is teaching the Quapaw Language to kids. The library invited kids and families to dive into the history of the Native Quapaw tribe Monday afternoon to celebrate Native American culture. The tribe's language department shared how it is preserving the Quapaw language. "We explain different types of cultural activities that we do, even our songs," says Quapaw tribe member Mary Jacobs.
