Debbie’s Burgers in Bushwick is from the owners of Sigmund’s Pretzels, and though they serve their griddled patties on potato buns, they do have a pretzel-shaped donut for dessert. The rest of the menu is short—you can choose between a single or double, and add chili or loaded fries if you want. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists.

Sofia’s Taqueria in the West Village is from a group with Italian restaurants like Sofia’s Little Italy and Sofia’s Gelato. The casual spot offers tacos, tostadas, quesadillas, and burritos, stuffed with your carnitas, nopales, al pastor, and more. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists.

A meal at Jungsik starts with banchan. Except instead of kimchi and other little side dishes, the opening course is more like the amuse bouche portion of your meal at a restaurant like Daniel or Le Bernardin. Bar Bianchi makes a good spritz, especially the crisp, not-too-sweet Giuseppe with elderflower. But more importantly, the sceney East Village spot is a good setting for a spritz: a corner of Avenue A and Houston transformed into something resembling a 1960s Italian piazza by the Le Dive team. Every spritz is available “regulare” or in “grande” fishbowl-sized glasses, which are great props for the three photo shoots happening on the sidewalk patio.
