ABC Mid North Coast

ABC Mid North Coast is a local radio station under the ABC umbrella, located in Port Macquarie and serving the Mid North Coast area of New South Wales. This region includes cities and towns such as Coffs Harbour, Taree, Kempsey, and Grafton. The station first launched as 2KP in 1954, initially broadcasting national programs. In 1956, studios were established in Kempsey, but local news was provided by 2NR in Grafton until 1960, when the station started producing its own news bulletins. In 2004, ABC Mid North Coast moved to new studios in Port Macquarie.
