Wood County Sheriff Mark Wasylyshyn has announced that his office will be conducting increased patrols for distracted driving today (April 14) through April 30. Deputies will be paying particular attention to violations such as distracted driving, along with other violations including driving under the influence, failure to yield and speeding – all which are leading factors in fatal crashes. There will be zero tolerance for driving under the influence and seat belt violations.

The postcards were filled out at the town hall – which Latta did not attend – in Bowling Green on Saturday. Pemberville woman killed in two-vehicle crash at U.S. 6 and I-75 interchange

A Pemberville woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash today (April 13) around 1:40 p.m., at the intersection of U.S. 6 and the Interstate 75 southbound exit ramp on the south edge of Bowling Green, according to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office. The investigation reportedly showed that a Chevy Traverse was westbound on Route 6, when a Jeep Cherokee came down the I-75 ramp, attempting to turn east on Route 6. The Jeep reportedly pulled out in front of the Chevy and was struck on the driver’s side.
