He withdrew his name from the transfer portal to return to State next season, returning a proven option at catcher back to the Wolfpack roster. The withdrawal comes __ days after Alex Sosa, the Pack's primary catcher in 2025, announced his move to Miami. Lanphere saw decent playing time for the red and white this past season, making 23 starts in 36 appearances.

Stokes' fastball runs up to 99 MPH. Florida State baseball has added another new arm to its pitching staff. Oregon transfer Cole Stokes has announced his commitment to FSU. Stokes is originally from Redondo Beach, California, where he went to Redondo Union HS. He is a six-foot-six, 230-pound right-handed pitcher. The California native was ranked No. 67 overall in Perfect Game's 2023 recruiting class rankings. He spent two seasons at Oregon and will have two seasons of eligibility remaining at FSU.

News: Iowa football has landed its third linebacker commitment in the 2026 class as Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton three-star Billy Weivoda has committed to the Hawkeyes. Weivoda chose the Hawkeyes over finalists of USF, Appalachian State, and Jacksonville State, while Virginia Tech and Vanderbilt were all previously involved with him. Weivoda is the third linebacker commitment for Iowa in the class, joining Iowa City West four-star Julian Manson and Sioux City Heelan three-star Kasen Thomas.
