A total of 150 healthcare professionals completed the survey. Of these, six described their practice setting as private practice only, and were excluded from subsequent analysis, leaving 144 valid responses. Respondents’ professional backgrounds and characteristics of the services in which they provided intra-articular corticosteroid injections varied (Table 1).

In this study, we have tested whether the measurement of HVA on smartphone photographs can be used instead of the gold standard radiographic HVA measurement. The findings of this study suggest that the measurement of photographic HVA using pMMP and pHVA methods through a smartphone was repeatable and reproducible, with excellent ICC values. However, both pMMP and pHVA measurements do not appear to be valid prediction methods since the prediction interval reached up to 20°.

In this study, we retrospectively investigated the relationship between the TyG index and severity of DFUs in Southeast of China and revealed that the TyG index was significantly associated with the Wagner classification, independent of conventional diabetic foot risk factors, including age, gender, BMI, smoking, alcohol, PAD, duration of diabetes ≥ 10 years, HB, ALB, HbA1c, eGFR, TC, LDL-C, HDL-C.

In order to fulfil the aim of our research, a qualitative interview study was conducted. Qualitative research enables researchers to understand how people view the world around them [12]. Design was pragmatic, according to resource available, whilst ensuring conceptual coherence with the research questions.
