A resident in the area had a caller to his house who claimed that he was doing roadworks in the area. The caller said that he had some left over tar and offered to lay the tar on driveway free of charge. When the tar was laid the injured party was intimidated into paying a considerable sum of money for the work done.

Gardaí in Kildare Town are investigating an incident that occurred in the car park of the Kildare Village Outlet on Saturday April 12th at approximately 7:40pm. It's understood 3 white males in a silver 04-KE Toyota Land Cruiser pulled up alongside a woman and threw liquid over the her. The occupants of the vehicle also shouted racial slurs at the woman before leaving the scene.

A new vinyl pressing plant has opened in Clane, as vinyl sales continue to surge in Ireland. The plant, operated by Anthem Vinyl, is currently running two pressing machines and plans to expand its team, which will initially consist of about a dozen employees. It is the only vinyl record production facility in Ireland, following the closure of Dublin Vinyl last year. Vinyl sales reached 397,000 units in 2024, slightly surpassing 396,000 in 2023.
