    A 50-year-old Port Orchard man was in Kitsap County Superior Court March 31 after being charged as a “chicken thief.”He faces a maximum of 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine for burglary and a year and $5,000 in fines for violating a court order. Kitsap deputies in court papers say they arrested the suspect a 9:16 a.m. March 29 in the 6700 block of SW Alpine Lake Road. The victim said the suspect just got out of jail and wanted to take her favorite chicken.

    Bail was set at $650,000 for a 25-year-old Bremerton man charged with dealing depictions of a minor in the first degree. He was in Kitsap County Superior Court March 28. He faces 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Court papers say Bremerton police arrested him March 27 at 5:26 a.m. in the 2900 block of Robin Avenue.

    Confusing left turns – too many choices By Doug Dahl • March 28, 2025 1:30 am Q: I drive through an intersection, almost daily, that has two left-turn lanes, while the cross-street they turn into has three lanes. There are some dots curving through the intersection that seem to suggest that the inside left-turn lane can choose from the two left-most lanes, and outside left-turn lane should go to the furthest right lane.
