A U.S. citizen was shot and killed Thursday after hijacking a small airplane in Belize at knifepoint and stabbing three people on board, officials in Belize and the U.S. confirmed. The man brandished a knife while the Tropic Air plane was airborne while demanding that the pilots take him out of the country, Police Commissioner Chester Williams told journalists, according to Reuters. The man was identified Thursday as Akinyela Sawa Taylor, a U.S. citizen and military veteran, Williams added.

Autopsy results released Saturday indicate that Josh R. Mann, 44, and Rebecca L. Mann, 43, died Wednesday as as result of homicide in their town of Pershing home. A 15-year-old boy, a person of interest in the deaths of a Taylor County couple, was found dead in Price County. The deceased couple, Josh and Rebecca Mann, were found in their home Wednesday and autopsy results indicate they were victims of a homicide. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
