A 60-year-old Marshfield man is held on a $250,000 cash bail, accused of attempting to decapitate a 61-year-old woman he had dated. The woman suffered a large neck laceration, a defensive hand wound, and numerous bruises. She later died after doctors found bleeding on the left side of her brain. The suspect, Cyril J. Granahan, faces charges including first-degree reckless homicide and elder abuse.
