Wellesley High School baseball team boasts a 7-1 record, largely due to their strong pitching staff. Sophomore Max Boehm and senior Lincoln Loftus lead the pitching staff with multiple shutouts between them. NATICK - Calm overtakes Wellesley High baseball coach Ted Novio when he hands the ball to his starting pitcher. “I know I can give a ball to any of these guys and know they’re going to keep us in the game,” Novio said. Wellesley has won its last four games to move to 7-1.

Keefe Tech's Nate DeBoer was voted the Daily news Baseball Player of the Week for April 7-13. He put down 3 hits and 3 RBIs for the Broncos in a win over Assabet Valley. DeBoer received 50.56 percent of the more than 20,000 votes. he beat out Nipmuc's Cole McGovern, Gavin Metcalf and Dylan Muccini, who combined for a no-hitter.

Here's who stood out form April 18-20 in MetroWest and greater Milford:Diya Bhattacharya, Westborough girls tennisShe bested Minnechaug's Caitlyn Hoare 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 singles, helping the Rangers win 4-1 on Friday. Bhattacharya improved to 8-0 this season. Rachel Dubrovsky earned a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles for Westborough (8-0) over Ainsley Patterson.
