    Four years ago, my family began a tradition to honor our grandparents and family who has gone before us: raising the Armenian Flag at Fitchburg City Hall in honor of Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day (April 24). I did not anticipate how much this would mean to me emotionally, but I definitely felt emotion the first time we raised the flag when Stephen DiNatale was mayor, and again, felt tearful last year, when Sam Squailia was mayor.

    Meet Loki - a handsome lab/retriever mix who adores his outdoor time. Walks, playtime, all make him very happy. He's eight years old, in good health, and according to volunteers at Second Chance Animal Shelter "a true adventure buddy who will come back inside for a well deserved nap on his bed or blanket."However, Loki needs some TLC ("time, love, and care") to be his best. He does not like new people, and he is very nervous around men.

    TEWKSBURY - Juveniles who police said were engaged in "inappropriate horseplay" were identified as the source of unexpected walkie-talkie transmissions that prompted an investigation at Center Elementary School's after-school program, AlphaBest, on Tuesday afternoon. The Tewksbury Police Department said in a social media post that it was determined that the juveniles were not on school grounds at the time of the transmissions, and there was no threat to the community.
