    A small fire occurred from a Chromebook device at Grosse Ile High School May 8. The Grosse Ile Township Police Department responded to the fire May 8. Upon their arrival, they were greeted by school administrators who directed them to a desk and Chromebook, both of which had visible burn damage. The area was evacuated as a precaution and multiple fire departments including Grosse Ile, Trenton and Riverview assessed the scene and evaluated students and staff.
