    The Grosse Ile Parkway Bridge will be closed to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic starting at 7 a.m. May 1. According to a press release from the Wayne County Department of Public Services, the closure is for structural steel repairs and is expected to last about eight weeks, but it is dependent on weather conditions and if there are any unforeseen delays. During the closure, there will be barriers at both ends of the bridge. All vehicle traffic will be rerouted via the Grosse Ile Toll Bridge.

    By The Detroit NewsThe bodies of a man and a woman, both with gunshot wounds, were found in a U-Haul truck Saturday afternoon, Inkster police said. The Inkster Police Department received a report of a possible stolen vehicle in a driveway in the 3000 block of Inkster Road at about 12:45 p.m. Saturday, police said. Police located the truck and found the bodies of a black man and a white woman, both believed to be in their 30s, inside, police said.
