Aldo Paulo Domenico Carini, of Dale Walk, Ducklington, near Witney, died on March 17. An inquest, held at Oxford Coroner's Court on May 2, heard the Wales-born 94-year-old had 'limited mobility and was unsteady on his feet'. The court heard that on the morning of February 27 he fell in the living room at his home address.

Oxford Crown Court (Image: NQ) A young man has been found guilty of raping two women in Wantage. Dylan Sims, 21, of St Mary’s, Wantage, has been on trial at Oxford Crown Court. He was charged with three counts of rape and one count of assaulting a female by penetration. On May 8, a jury unanimously found him guilty of two counts of rape and one count of assaulting a female by penetration. They found him not guilty of one count of rape.

Peter Cowling was reported missing last Friday (May 2) in a public appeal from police to help trace him. A body was discovered near Pigeons Lock in Kirtlington later that day which police said they believe to be that of Mr Cowling.
