    The opening of the Boy's Club (Image: Warrington Museum) IT has had many names in Warrington. But 75 years ago marked one of the highlights of a Warrington institution. In March 1950, crowds gathered to see HRH Princess Margaret visit Warrington to open the Warrington Boy's Club in Rodney Street. Originally formed in 1930 as an after-school club by a group of concerned parents, in 1935 the Warrington Boy's Club joined the Boy's Club network.

    Sammy Dean left her career selling houses to chase her dream of being a DJ after working on her craft for years as a hobby. The 51-year-old played Glastonbury for the first time last year and has been steadily playing more gigs. This includes a gig at Eden, one of the biggest nightclubs in San Antonio Bay in Ibiza – which she used to work at in 2002. Sammy first went over as a resident DJ for another night club, but when that ‘flopped’ she got a job putting up posters at Eden.
