The business was found to have 129.24 per cent sales growth over the last three years, while its latest sales were recorded at £14.9 million.

    Pete Magill, a stalwart of the regional media, sadly died earlier this month aged just 49. His funeral has now been confirmed. It will take place at 2pm on Monday, July 7, at Walton Lea Crematorium. Everyone is welcome to attend the ceremony and to join the family afterwards. Family flowers only. Pete’s career began in Warrington, working for Orbit News, publisher of Warrington Worldwide, before moving to the Warrington Guardian, then to newspapers in Oldham, Burnley and East Lancashire.

    According to conveyancing specialists Bird & Co, property prices in the town rose by 5.37 per cent from December 2024 to April 2025, the 15th highest increase in the country. This equates to an average rise of nearly £13,000 over the period, with the average price in December 2024 being £239,625, compared to £252,499 in April 2025. Daniel Chard, partner at Bird & Co, said the market is "starting to respond" after several interest rate cuts since mid-2024.
