The 'Creep Tunnels', that lie beneath the old Palace and Floral Pavilion in New Brighton will be open on July 12 from 9pm until 2am the following day. The tunnels, located underneath Virginia Road and Balmoral Road are said to have been used by smugglers. During World War Two they were converted into a munitions factory and air raid shelters. They later became a nightclub known locally as 'The Creep Inn', but have been left abandoned and decaying for over 20 years.
