The Press (York)

The Press is the daily newspaper serving a large region of North and East Yorkshire, with its headquarters in York. It is published by Newsquest (York) Ltd, which is part of the Newsquest Media Group. Originally called the Yorkshire Evening Press when it first launched in 1882, the publication underwent a format change from broadsheet to tabloid on September 6, 2004. In the late 1990s, it dropped "York" from its name and transitioned to a morning printing schedule on April 24, 2006, reflecting its new publishing time.
