A man is dead after he was found shot multiple times in a vehicle Wednesday evening in the Grant Park neighborhood, police said. Officers were called to the 700 block of Eloise Street in southeast Atlanta around 7 p.m. following reports of multiple shots being fired. The area is just east of Boulevard and near the Beltline Southside Trail and Zoo Atlanta. While en route, police found a 29-year-old man in the back seat of a vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, according to officials.

One man was killed, and two others were injured in separate shootings across northwest Atlanta within a span of nearly four hours, police said. The deadly incident was the last to occur around 2:30 a.m. Saturday, after officers rushed from scene to scene. That shooting happened in the 900 block of Mayson Turner Road near an apartment complex off Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard. Authorities said they found a 58-year-old man with apparent gunshot wounds.

A man who berated and insulted three Muslim women while they prayed ata metro Atlantashopping center offered a public apology Friday after a video ofthe interaction went viral. The incident took place Sunday in the parking deck of the Avalon, an upscale dining and retail center in Alpharetta. A man — who has now identified himself as Perry Greene — shouted profanities at the women.
