Fifteen years of apartment living was packed away in boxes as Maybelline Jackson made a big move. “It just feels like God has brought me from the pit to the palace in a sense, you know, from the bottom to the top. It’s been a journey,” Jackson said.

The 200 acres of sprawling land sits off Highway 5 in Gloster, a small community in the parish. BENTON, La. (KSLA) - It’s an extremely tough application process to get an appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy. Benton High School graduating senior, Luke Miller, started the application process nearly a year ago. The process involves a fitness test, medical evaluations, rounding up letters of recommendation, and a congressional nomination.
