The body of Montrell Williams, 2, was found off Ferry Point near the Whitestone Bridge about a month after he had gone missing, officials said. The boy’s father, 20-year-old Arius Williams, has been charged with two counts of murder and two counts of manslaughter related to the boy’s death, police said.

BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) — Former State Assemblyman Michael Blake on Monday endorsed Zohran Mamdani in the Democratic mayoral primary.  Blake himself is a candidate for mayor, but failed to gain much traction in the polls and did not qualify for the second primary debate last week. He is now encouraging voters to rank Mamdani in their No. 2 spot, while still campaigning to be voters’ first choice. “This is what unity for the people looks like,” Blake said in a post to X.

Sophie Vershbow
Sophie Vershbow @svershbow

Simon and I are proud to endorse @ZohranKMamdani as our no. 1 choice to be the next (actual) mayor of NYC! Don’t forget to fill out all 5 slots on your ballot and, whatever you do, DON'T rank Cuomo. A better NYC is possible, but we have to believe in it. https://t.co/qNKGIEEg90 https://t.co/qOrcqkKUJg
