    A new location of New Jersey-based Playa Bowls opened its doors in the Arcadia neighborhood of Phoenix on Saturday, May 3. The Phoenix location was opened by former Pittsburgh Steelers fullback Roosevelt Nix. Nix came across the brand as he was looking to invest in a business after his retirement from the NFL. He felt that investing his time and money into a restaurant that focused on healthy, fresh ingredients just made sense. Playa Bowls offers bowls, smoothies, juices and cold brew drinks.
