PRINEVILLE, Ore. -- Training your dog is tough work that requires diligence and persistence. Training your dog to be a therapy dog is an entirely different level of dedication. It can require more than a year of work. But when a dog has obvious love to give, it’s hard not to gift that to the community. That's how 12-year-old Lily Prasek felt about her Golden Retriever, Sunny. “He’s just really loving,” Lily explained. “He always wants more love.

BEND, Ore. -- In a first-of-its-kind move for the Bend-La Pine School District, an employee has been hired whose sole job is to try and get families to stop driving their kids to school. Instead, the goal is to get those students walking, biking, scootering or taking the bus. Michelle Rhoads is the new active transportation coordinator. BEND, Ore. -- Some Central Oregonians were in Italy Thursday to witness history -- the election of the first American to lead the Catholic Church, Pope Leo XIV. They were in Vatican City Thursday morning -- nearly the only ones in St. Peter's Square -- standing outside while the cardinals were inside conducting the conclave.

The issue with moms having fewer kids is the economic fallout, such as a smaller labor force. Boosting the economy was a staple of Trump's presidential campaign, so he's pitching a baby bonus of sorts — $5,000 if you have a kid. "Sounds like a good idea to me," Trump said. Free money sounds good, but that $5,000 barely covers the cost of childbirth.

The prestigious Boston Marathon will take over the streets of the Massachusetts capital on Monday, and mixed in with the 30,000 runners will be a Madras woman on a mission for redemption. It’ll be 10 years since Nancy Richards last raced one of the most iconic races in the world. It’ll also be 10 years since Nancy almost died on the course. “I was a shot putter in high school,” Nancy said, explaining that she didn’t get into running until her early 50s. “I was not a runner.

When you say “smoked” instead of “spoke” for a marijuana dispensary story… I guess if I’m going to have my first on-air Freudian slip in 10 years working in the biz, this is a pretty good one. 😂 Kudos to @peytonthomastv lasting thru his intro before coming in to laugh at me. https://t.co/ULKgYrq3E3
