PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A man is in the hospital with serious injures after a house fire overnight in the Maryvale area of Phoenix. Firefighters responded to the reported house fire around 2 a.m. near 91st Avenue and Osborn Road. When they arrived at the scene, heavy smoke and fire were billowing from the house. Fire crews were eventually able to extinguish the fire. As they were fighting the blaze, first responders found a man inside the home and had to carry him outside.

PEORIA, AZ (AZFamily) — One person was killed in a crash early Wednesday morning in Peoria. The two-vehicle crash happened just before 4:30 a.m. at 91st Avenue and Hearn Road, just north of Thunderbird Road. Police said the crash involved a truck and a sedan, and one person was pronounced dead at the scene. The person who was killed has not yet been identified. Police said another person sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital.

PEORIA, AZ (AZFamily) — A man is dead following a crash early Wednesday morning in Peoria. The two-vehicle crash happened just before 4:30 a.m. at 91st Avenue and Hearn Road, just north of Thunderbird Road. Police said the crash involved a Ram pickup truck and a Mercedes-Benz sedan. The driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene. He has since been identified as 69-year-old Donald Schmitt, Jr. of Peoria. The other driver was taken to the hospital with what police describe as minor injuries.

MESA, AZ (AZFamily) — Police are investigating after a man was killed in a crash overnight near the U.S. 60 in Mesa. Officers were called to the scene around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday on Mesa Drive near Glade Avenue. Police said a white Infiniti car was speeding when its driver crashed into a median wall, then crashed into a work van and a pickup truck. Both parked vehicles did not have any occupants. The driver was ejected from the Infiniti and was pronounced dead at the scene, Arizona’s Family confirmed.

Officers were called to the scene around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday on Mesa Drive near Glade Avenue. Police at the scene said a white Infiniti car lost control and crashed into a work van and a pickup truck. A man was pronounced dead at the scene, Arizona’s Family confirmed. He has not yet been identified by police.
