ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — You’ve probably seen the pictures on Instagram but now Central New York Residents will get the chance to explore one of Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama’s mirrored rooms. Kusama’s “Let’s Survive Forever” installation, which is part of her Infinity Mirrored Room collection, opened at Rochester’s Memorial Art Gallery in October 2023, and next month a Syracuse University Fashion Design Professor is set to give an engaging lecture there.

This year’s Flower City Tattoo Convention is going to knock the socks off of some people. At least, that’s what Founder and Organizer Rob DPiazza said.

Nursing homes are having to turn away families seeking long-term care causing some of those families to turn to hospitals for help.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Those who have dedicated their time to the Rochester Workforce Development Program are graduating and gearing up for the next phase in their careers. These graduates have a little break before they start in the Rochester Police Department academy. While they’re proud to head to the next step, recruitment efforts are still strong. “This isn’t the end, it’s just the beginning,” Janiya Love, a recent Rochester Workforce Development Program graduate says.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Early voting for the November general election kicked off Saturday morning at 9 a.m., with 13 locations in Monroe County hosting. While this is not a federal election, community members like Stephanie Aldersley believes that early voting for this year’s local election is just as important. “We just think it’s important to vote and particularly for local government,” Aldersley said. The biggest seat that’s up for election is County Executive.
