    ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) – The warm air is finally out and while we are still warmer than average, we will not get to 90 degrees. There will be a few scattered rain showers to the south of the region across the Southern Tier, but it is very unlikely that any of those showers migrate northward. The overnight lows have been very warm this week and we finally get a break the next few days with lows falling into the 60s.

    Rochester, NY (WROC) – Our stretch of heat started Sunday, reaching a record high for a morning low temperature in Rochester, cooling to only 77 degrees overnight. It was the warmest night ever recorded in June. It was also our first 90 degree day of the year for Rochester (we average our first on June 19). The heat continues for a few more days. Today, a high in the mid-90s is expected with heat indices ranging 95-105 degrees.

    ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) – The Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport Recorded the most rain ever on a June 18, surpassing 3″ and making it all the way to 3.15″, crushing the previous record of 2.18″ set in 1905. It was also the most rain ever recorded for a single day in June, and 11th wettest day all time. Wednesday's rain was the most in a single day for June ever recorded. It was the 11th most rain of all days in Rochester.

    ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) – Record rainfall Wednesday lead to flooding for many in yards, low-lying areas, and some roadways. Some areas got over 6″ of rain in a short period of time. There are a few scattered rain showers this morning, but those taper and it is breezy. There is a storm system north of Lake Ontario that will help pick up winds around Rochester. There could be gusts 40-50 mph this afternoon as a front moves overhead this afternoon.
