Dbacks needed that win! Have done a good job of avoiding three-game sweeps. But had a 7-1 lead and fell apart behind a shaky bullpen. Need to get that figured out.

The amount of games the Dbacks have given up late-inning leads is ridiculous.

To @Burnsy987 question I would expect both Kevin Ginkel and Ryan Thompson will not be available tonight vs the Phillies due to recent workload.

Yes there were other candidates. My understanding is that 5 were considered not all formal. Player development was the most important aspect in making the hire.

@Gambo987 Curious if there was any actual search for an external GM? Not saying Gregory cannot be good, just seems odd that the team would go fully in-house for the front office, which was equally as bad as the rest of the team.

That homer may be the last at bat we see in the majors from Tim Tawa for a while. Despite the fact that he's filled in really well for Ketel, the fact is he doesn't play any Shortstop, so the team is unlikely to keep him on the roster over Hampson.

The timeframe for the Suns to hire their next head coach is sometime in the next 2-3 weeks. They will start with a long list (14-15) of candidates then work that down over a couple of rounds to come down with a group of 2-3 finalists.

The search for a new head coach will begin today with Brian Gregory reaching out to agents. The list of candidates will be expansive with a list of 14-15 expected to be contacted. It is highly likely the new head coach will be a younger, first-time NBA head coach.

Josh Bartelstein will remain CEO of the Suns. Brian Gregory will report directly to owner Matt Ishbia.

Brian Gregory will be the new General Manager of the Phoenix Suns and former GM James Jones is being moved to Senior Advisor role. Announcement coming shortly.

I expect the Dbacks to put Justin Martinez on the IL and get some imaging done to see if there is a reason the velocity is down. JMart says he is healthy and nothing the Dbacks have seen would indicate he is injured. But at this point some rest and tests is the best path forward.

Good job by Ryan Thompson in very difficult situation. And Corbin Burnes gets his first Dbacks win!

Kid has talent but closing games a whole other level - JMart better suited for 7 or 8th inning not a closer at this point in his career.

I would expect the Suns front office changes to be announced in the next 48 hours or at the latest - early next week. At THAT time the coaching search will begin.
