BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. — One person was killed and another injured in a fire in Bullhead City, according to authorities. The Bullhead City Fire Department said the fire happened on April 17, just after 12:30 p.m. at an RV park in the 1500 block of Goldrush Road near Bullhead Parkway and N. Oatman Road. "Upon arrival, first responders encountered heavy smoke and active flames involving multiple recreational vehicles," the fire department said in a Facebook post.

ST JOHNS, Ariz. — Crews are working a brush fire in eastern Arizona that has closed off a roadway. Apache County Emergency Management and Preparedness says Highway 180/191 from St. Johns to Springerville is closed due to a brush fire. The Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management says the fire is around 30 acres. The agency has sent a crew to help contain the fire. Round Valley Fire and Medical is also working to contain the fire, along with crews from Springerville and St. Johns.
Police looking for shooter after man found dead at north Phoenix apartment complex

PHOENIX — Police are looking for the person responsible for a deadly shooting in north Phoenix on Wednesday, according to authorities. Phoenix police said the shooting happened at around 2 p.m. at an apartment complex near 19th Avenue and Thunderbird Road. Police identified the victim as 26-year-old Damien Jackson. Jackson's body was found in a common area between two buildings at the apartment complex, police said.

PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. — A woman was bitten by a rattlesnake while hiking in the Superstition Mountains earlier this week, according to authorities. The Pinal County Sheriff's Office said it happened on April 13 on Peralta Trail. The injured woman contacted deputies at around 10:45 a.m. "Fortunately, this woman had a charged cell phone in this emergency, which allowed for a much quicker rescue," said Sheriff Ross Teeple. PCSO posted about the rescue on its Facebook post.

PHOENIX — Multiple storage units were damaged in a fire at a storage facility in west Phoenix, according to authorities. The Phoenix Fire Department said the fire happened Sunday at a storage facility near Grand Ave and Indian School Road. At least 10 units appeared to be damaged in a photo provided by the fire department. No one was injured in the fire. The fire department said one man was hospitalized for a minor injury not caused by the fire.
