SALT LAKE COUNTY, Utah — A new lawsuit from Republican candidate for governor, Rep. Phil Lyman, R-Blanding, demands both Gov. Spencer Cox and Lt Gov. Deidre Henderson be removed from office. In the suit, Lyman asks that the president of the Senate, currently Stuart Adams, be appointed to serve as governor until January next year. The petition, filed with the Utah Supreme Court, also demands Lyman, not Cox, be listed as the official Republican candidate for governor on the general election ballot.

SALT LAKE CITY — With a steady demand for electric vehicles and other rechargeable batteries, Utah’s famous inland sea could soon become a major hub for lithium production. The Great Salt Lake is home to a lot of different minerals, some of which are predominately only gathered from its waters. While there are several other major lithium sources in the United States, the Great Salt Lake’s supply hasn’t been fully tapped into because of the lake’s recent lower water levels.

SALT LAKE CITY — More electric cars are selling in Utah, but homes are having a hard time keeping up. Of the 2,000 homes currently listed in Salt Lake City, only about 1.6% of the listings are EV friendly. That makes homes with electric vehicle chargers a hot commodity in Salt Lake City. Realtor.com says homes with the chargers could go for a higher resale value, as more EVs are sold across the state.
