HEBER CITY, Utah – Parker Sever, the Chief of Police in Heber City and father of Jayden Parker Sever, has apologized for the sexual abuse allegations against his son that emerged last week. Jayden Parker Sever was arrested last week and has been charged with attempted rape and object rape of two elderly women while he was working as a caregiver at the Spring Gardens Senior Living center. Jayden Sever is the adopted son of Chief Parker Sever.

PARK CITY, Utah — The passenger in a semi truck traveling westbound on I-80 is dead after being thrown from the cab of the truck after it crashed into a concrete barrier. At approximately 4:30 AM on Saturday, July 27 a driver of a semi towing a 53 foot trailer lost control and impacted the right concrete barrier at Lamb’s Canyon, according to the Utah Department of Public Safety. The semi detached from the trailer and rolled down the north embankment.

PARK CITY, Utah — The Park City Women’s Nine-Hole Golf League is hosting its 28th annual Rally for a Cure on Tuesday, July 30, at the Park City Golf Club on Thaynes Canyon Drive. The event will raise funds for local health and cancer charities. Participants (residents and visitors alike) will be entered into a drawing of more than 30 donated baskets. The items include golf outings, spa treatments, and picnics. Rally for a Cure is open to all skill levels.

HEBER CITY, Utah – Twenty year-old Jayden Parker Sever, son of Heber City’s Chief of Police Parker Sever, has recently been charged with attempted rape and object rape of two elderly women while he was working as a caregiver at the Spring Gardens Senior Living center. The purported offenses occurred during Sever’s tenure in the memory care unit, where he confessed to sexually abusing two women in their 80s, both with advanced dementia, in February and March 2024.

Five cities will compete with Park City to host the Sundance Film Festival

PARK CITY, Utah — The nonprofit Sundance Institute has announced six finalists in its request for proposal process for the 2027 Sundance Film Festival host location. The selected cities are Atlanta, Boulder, Cincinnati, Louisville, Park City/Salt Lake City, and Santa Fe. Submissions opened on May 7 and closed on June 21. The evaluation focused on each city’s infrastructure, event hosting capabilities, and alignment with the festival’s values of equity and sustainability.
