AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Potter County Sheriff’s Office and Curry County Sheriff’s Office shared details on the 287(g) program agreements. According to Potter County Sheriff Brian Thomas through the agreement, if a person gets arrested locally for any offense and it’s suspected they do not have legal citizenship in the United States, a trained deputy within PCSO can check to see their status if they are wanted through Immigration and Custom Enforcement.
