The Making Queensland Safer (Adult Crime, Adult Time) Amendment Bill 2025 was introduced into the Queensland Parliament on 1 April 2025. The Bill has been referred to the Justice, Integrity and Community Safety Committee for inquiry with closing date for submissions to be confirmed. Queensland Law Society will participate in the Parliamentary Committee legislative review process to ensure that the proposed laws have no unintended consequences.

Aldi’s fake wine merchant ‘Justin Youraldi’ tricked wine buffs into thinking that they were tasting expensive wine from the world’s most exclusive vineyards; in reality, they were sampling Aldi’s award-winning wines, some of which cost as low as £4.99.
