PHOENIX (AZFamily) — After another cool morning in the 50s, temperatures will warm up to around 85 degrees for Easter Sunday afternoon. This is very close to the normal high temperature of 86. The record high for today is 105 degrees from 1989. The record high for Easter is 100 degrees, which occurred on April 15, 1990! We won’t get close to either of those records today. A few clouds will move in tonight, leaving us with partly sunny skies on Monday.

PHOENIX (AZFamily)—After a cool morning, the weekend will start well with mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 70s. This comes after an active Friday in which Sky Harbor received 0.15 inches of rainfall, with higher amounts north and east of the Phoenix metro. For the high country, use caution if you are driving to or from eastern Arizona, where a winter weather advisory is in effect until 5 p.m. This includes areas like the White Mountains, such as Pinetop, Show Low, and Greer.

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A new forecast from the Climate Prediction Center came out on Thursday, continuing to suggest a wetter-than-normal monsoon season here in Arizona. Last month’s forecast showed a similar wetter trend, and it’s good to see the optimism continuing with this new update. Here is the updated precipitation forecast, which shows the forecast chances relative to normal. The green colors show where the CPC is leaning toward an above-normal rainfall forecast.

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — After hitting a high of 99 on Saturday, we will shave off a few more degrees today with a forecast high temperature of 95. This is shy of the record of 99 set in 2002 but still well above the average high temperature of 85. There will be a mix of sun and clouds, with breezes out of the southwest at 5-15 mph, with gusts of 15 to 20 mph, possibly in the afternoon.
