Polish immigrants built St. Adalbert’s Catholic Church in the Pilsen neighborhood more than 150 years ago. Over the years, the church has become the spiritual home to Mexican immigrants across the city.

Well, they’re made pretty much the same way they were in 1952, when Tom’s first opened. Owner Gus Liapis and Chef Sil Prassas joined Sean Lewis on this week’s WGN Weekend Morning News Sunday Brunch to show how Tom’s makes its patented prime rib, which “is good for any time of the day,” Prassas says. CHICAGO (AP) — An immigrant man who was falsely accused of threatening to assassinate President Donald Trump can be released from a Wisconsin prison on bond, an immigration judge determined Tuesday. Ramón Morales Reyes was accused of a writing a letter threatening Trump in a blistering social media post by Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. The post includes Morales Reyes’ photo and an excerpt from the letter he purportedly wrote in English.

CHICAGO — A fraudulent OB/GYN, who pleaded guilty last summer for bilking Medicaid and private insurance, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison. Dr. Mona Ghosh owned Progressive Women’s Healthcare, located in Hoffman Estates, and was accused of submitting fraudulent claims to Medicaid and other private insurance companies from 2018 to 2022. A total of 17 women spoke during the federal sentencing hearings, which concluded Monday morning after being adjourned on May 29.
