CHICAGO – A teen was injured after being grazed by bullet while waiting for a school bus Tuesday morning on the city’s South Side. According to police, the shooting happened just before 7:30 a.m. Tuesday near the intersection of West 79th Street and South Carpenter Street in Auburn Gresham. It was also caught on surveillance video. The video shows an 18-year-old man standing at the intersection when an unknown vehicle with at least one unknown suspect started shooting in his direction.

CHICAGO – Friends and family came together Sunday to remember a 9-year-old girl shot and killed in Chicago’s Back of the Yards neighborhood. On April 13, 2024, the family was celebrating a Catholic Confirmation. They were getting ready to cut a cake when gunshots rang out. At the time, ShotSpotter picked up 18 rounds fired. A total of 11 people were shot: seven adults and four kids. Among the children was 9-year-old Ariana Molina, who did not survive her injuries.
