Freddie Freeman is expected to be activated from the IL and back in the lineup on Friday (which is also his bobblehead night), per Dave Roberts. Roberts has seen feeds of Freeman taking live at-bats and running, and thinks his ankle looks much improved.

Landon Knack will start tomorrow's finale vs. the Nationals, Dave Roberts said. He also left open the possibility that Justin Wrobleski could stay in the rotation beyond tonight's start, as long as Blake Snell sidelined. But that's still TBD.

Blake Snell (left shoulder inflammation) will be shut down from throwing until Monday, Dave Roberts said. There's no planned medical intervention, just rest.

Snell said he's been feeling soreness for about three weeks and thought he could pitch through it. He's hopeful it's a short IL stint. MRI came back clean. Roberts said Snell is meeting with Dr. ElAttrache, who's on the trip, to determine a plan. An injection is a possibility.

Snell started throwing a bullpen session today and felt soreness. He's expected to miss at least two starts. Manager Dave Roberts: "I just think if you’re not going to finish your bullpen, that’s pretty much a tell-all to then kind of nip whatever is going on in his arm."
