MESA, AZ (AZFamily) —This year’s Pat’s Run will be especially emotional for a Mesa family. They will be running for a son, a brother and a friend. Joe Demeulenaere planned on participating in Pat’s Run, just as he has for the past 13 years. He would put on a football helmet and run the 4.2-mile fundraiser. It was a tradition rooted in his love of sports and his admiration of Pat Tilman.

The 15-year-old just won the first-ever NFL Flag Player of the Year ... and that is Something Good!Ryder Noche is a freshman at Brophy College Prep in central Phoenix who was recently named the inaugural NFL Flag 14U Boys Player of the Year. It’s a big achievement that gave Noche the opportunity to walk the red carpet and be recognized on stage at the NFL Honors in Las Vegas on Feb.

Sarah Jones is a music teacher at Monte Vista Elementary School who was recently honored by Fulton Homes’ School Salute program in partnership with 94.5 KOOL FM. She was chosen because of the impressive work she’s done during her eight years at the school.
