    BALDWYN, Miss. (WTVA) - The City of Baldwyn continues to deal with the aftermath of a man's recent arrest that was captured on video. Baldwyn Police Chief Roy Ragin posted a letter on the department's door in which he stated:"As of June 11, 2025, Tarvis Davis, Buck Franks and Anthony Buse will no longer be on the Baldwyn Police Department's work schedule."The letter relates to the May 20 arrest of Quincy Price at a home along Fernwood Street.

    BROOKSVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) - Police reported no injuries in a shooting outside a barbershop in Brooksville. Brooksville Police Chief Virginia Rich said the shooting happened on Thursday evening in the parking lot of TD's Barbershop on Highway 145. The police chief said a group of men got into a fight or argument and gunfire erupted. She reported no injuries and no arrests as of Friday morning. Anyone with information should call the Brooksville Police Department at 662-361-1279.

    PRATTS, Miss. (WTVA) - The family of a Lee County drowning victim laid a wreath and plaque near the location where the teenager lost his life. Malaki Moss, 16, died on May 15 in Twentymile Creek near Guntown. "It is beautiful and it's real popular, especially with the younger group, but it's so dangerous," his grandmother Deborah Jaggers said. "It's so muddy, you can't see the bottom.

    TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - Investigators still believe Leigh Occhi's body remains on the property where she once lived. That's according to Mississippi State University forensic anthropologist Jesse Goliath. Thirteen-year-old Occhi vanished in 1992 from her home in Tupelo. Her parents declared her legally dead last year. Local, state and federal investigators returned to her childhood home on Honey Locust Drive in January and scoured the area.

    TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - Firefighters responded to a distressed plane at the Tupelo Regional Airport. This happened on Tuesday afternoon, April 15. The small plane, en route from Atlanta, Georgia, to Dallas, Texas, alerted the airport shortly before 3:00 and safely landed. Several fire trucks lined the runway but were ultimately not used. WTVA was told the plane blew a fuse, but everyone is OK. The plane is registered to a company in Woodstock, Georgia.
