The Daily Times Chronicle is a family-run daily newspaper that comes out five days a week, from Monday to Friday, in Woburn, Massachusetts. It has distinct daily editions and weekly publications that serve several towns along Route 128 in eastern Middlesex County. Previously, this newspaper was called the Woburn Daily Times and Reading Chronicle. In addition to its main publication, it also produces The Stoneham Independent, Tewksbury Town Crier, and Wilmington Town Crier.

    TEWKSBURY — The Tewksbury Select Board met on April 9, 2025 at town hall. The board reorganized following the town election. Pat Holland declined to serve another term as chair. “I am a firm believer in term limits,” he said. Mark Kratman was elected as chair in a 4-1 vote with James Mackey opposing. Eric Ryder was elected as vice chair and Rich Russo was appointed clerk.

    TEWKSBURY — The Tewksbury Planning Board met on April 7, 2025 at town hall. Town Planner Alex Lowder reported that the town is starting the process of updating the open space and recreation plan. The plan will be renewed for 10 years and will be completed in conjunction with the Northern Middlesex Council of Governments and the Open Space and Recreation Plan Committee.

    TEWKSBURY — As the 250th anniversary of the Battle of Lexington quickly approaches, cities and towns across the country are preparing celebrations. As part of Tewksbury’s recognition of participation in the battle for independence, reenactors from the 2nd Massachusetts Regiment will be marching from Tewksbury’s town common at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, following the route that Capt. Trull led the West Tewksbury Milita Company — approximately 27 strong — to Meriam’s Corner in Concord.

    On Saturday, April 26, Marine Cpl. John E. Edwinson Jr. comes home to Wilmington. Edwinson was sadly killed in action during World War II on Sept. 24, 1942 at Guadalcanal, an island in the Solomon Islands in the South Pacific, and buried, along with nine others, on the battlefield by his comrades. Now, nearly 83 years later, Edwinson’s remains will return to his hometown to be buried alongside his mother and father in Wildwood Cemetery.
