The Daily Times Chronicle is a family-run daily newspaper that comes out five days a week, from Monday to Friday, in Woburn, Massachusetts. It has distinct daily editions and weekly publications that serve several towns along Route 128 in eastern Middlesex County. Previously, this newspaper was called the Woburn Daily Times and Reading Chronicle. In addition to its main publication, it also produces The Stoneham Independent, Tewksbury Town Crier, and Wilmington Town Crier.

    TEWKSBURY — Olivia Jensen and Maggie Kinnon are bringing a new inclusive track program to the town this summer. The Buddy Track program will happen at Tewksbury Memorial High School on five afternoons, and provide specially-abled students from grades pre-K through high school and the LEAP program a chance to have fun and run. Organized by the DECA club at TMHS, the dates are June 29, July 13, July 20, Aug. 3, and Aug. 10.

    TEWKSBURY — Massachusetts congressman Seth Moulton was in Tewksbury on Monday to discuss the $850,000 Community Project Funding he was able to secure for Tewksbury. The grant will bring sidewalks to Livingston Street, helping to connect residents to the Saunders recreation area. The project, currently in its design and permitting phase, will provide residents of the Tewksbury Housing Authority at Saunders Circle, and all residents, access to the greater sidewalk system in the community.

    The spring season had plenty of highlights for Wilmington High squads. The WHS girls tennis team was one of the top stories, winning the Middlesex League’s Freedom Division. Wildcat No. 1 singles player Savannah Beatrice was named the division’s Most Valuable Player after another terrific season. Wilmington was the seventh seed in Div. 3 after a regular season that saw the girls finish 12-5 overall.

    The Shawsheen Tech boys lacrosse team captured the state’s vocational school championship last week on their home field, beating Whittier Tech of Haverhill, 12-8. The Rams ended a terrific season with an overall record of 21-2, losing only once in the regular season to Whittier and then falling in the MIAA Div. 3 state tournament to Falmouth by a 9-6 score. Falmouth went all the way to the state championship game before a 9-4 loss to Scituate.

    Local hikers and trail aficionados may be familiar with the Bay Circuit Trail, a little more than 230-mile multiuse trail that is considered the “outer Emerald Necklace” of Boston. The trail starts at the Merrimack River in Newburyport and rings a path that runs between route 495 and Route 128 all the way around to Kingston Bay. There’s now a newly forged trail, the Mystic Link, and it brings a whole new opportunity for exploration.
