Last week, the Central Lee High School boys golf team went to the Class 2A state tournament for the first time since 2018. Hawks coach Mike Ungerer has taken four teams and three individual boys and six individual girls to the state tournament since 1985, his first year as coach. One of those players that went on this year’s team was junior Caleb Larson, the Daily Democrat Athlete of the Week. Larson was one of six very gifted golfers for the Hawks.
