Pique NewsMagazine is a locally owned, independent weekly newspaper that has been serving the Whistler resort community in British Columbia, Canada, since 1994. Each Thursday, approximately 15,000 copies are distributed for free at more than 200 locations, stretching from Vancouver to Mount Currie, with 130 of those locations right in Whistler, including hotels and other tourist spots. The newspaper was founded by Kathy Barnett, Bob Barnett, Kevin Damaskie, and David Rigler.

As of this last weekend, Truth Smith is also The Grind Whistler's inaugural snowboard champ among men.     As the World Ski and Snowboard Festival prepares to wrap up, so too does another winter season at Whistler Blackcomb. The last day for operations on Whistler Mountain, and for the Peak 2 Peak Gondola, is April 21. As of April 22, spring skiing is available on Blackcomb Mountain only. "Please note that there are variable snow conditions at all elevations," Whistler Blackcomb said in its April 10 operations update.
