    The Parkways East and West will be featured in this weekend’s roadwork. Here are the details:Parkway West — Part of the eastbound highway in Collier and Robinson will be reduced to a single lane of traffic over the weekend. The restriction will limit the highway to one lane from Ridge Road to the Interstate 79 interchange from 9 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday. Crews will repair the deck of the bridge over Boyce Road as part of a $12.6 million upgrade of that area of the highway.

    With less than two weeks to go before the state Legislature is supposed to adopt the state’s annual budget, there’s starting to be some movement on funding for mass transit, where agencies across the state say there will be major cutbacks if they don’t get more money. On Tuesday, the state House approved a bill sponsored by Rep. Ed Neilson, D-Philadelphia, that would approve Gov. Josh Shapiro’s request to increase the share of state sales tax used for the transit subsidy.

    The National Labor Relations Board on Tuesday filed civil contempt of court charges against the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette for what it said is the newspaper’s refusal to comply with a federal court order to restore health insurance the company illegally took away from its workers in 2020. The charges could result in daily compounding fines if the Post-Gazette continues to ignore the decision from the U.S. Third Circuit Court of Appeals.

    It will be a little more difficult than usual to get from Penn Hills to Monroeville for the next few days. That’s because ramps to and from Penn Hills and the part of Rodi Road to Business Route 22 and part of the outbound Parkway East will be restricted for paving. Work on the ramps will close them from 9 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday and from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Sunday.
