    A Kent man was reported in stable condition April 22 after his car was destroyed in a single-vehicle crash on State Route 14 in Streetsboro the evening before. Police Lt. Rich Polivka said that Streetsboro EMS took the 26-year-old driver to UH Portage Medical Center, and he was later transferred to Summa Akron City Hospital. Police and EMS responded to the scene of the crash after receiving calls at around 5:20 p.m. April 21.

    A Ravenna man has admitted sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl last year. Emilio Joseph Lee Dial, 22, pleaded guilty Monday in Portage County Common Pleas Court to charges of rape and attempted rape, according to the Portage County Prosecutor's Office. Judge Becky Doherty ordered the court's adult probation office to conduct a presentencing investigation. According to a Ravenna police report, officers responded Aug. 3 to University Hospitals Portage Medical Center.
